About Me

Marceline Andrews-Roots is a mother, wife, grandmother, sister, evangelist, minister, writer, poet, and friend. Philadelphia born and raised, Marcy worked at PGW (Philadelphia Gas Works) for 30 years (1984-2014) before retiring. During that time, Marcy volunteered in the All Star Talent Show Network to help the youth of Philadelphia and New York. She was also one of the first to participate in the Amachi Program with Big brother/Big sister in 2001, which provides faith-based mentors to children with incarcerated parents (Philadelphia). In 2001, Marcy attended Higher Ground Bible Institute (Mt Zion Baptist Church) to receive her ETA (Evangical Training Association). Marcy also served on the Philadelphia Council of Clergy, under Archbishop Anthony Floyd. She became a ordained minister in 2006 under Bishop Duke Ellington and Bishop Dr. William T. Thomas, and is actively evangelizing to this day. She has received many awards for her mentorship, community service, volunteering, and Christian service and ministries from the State of Pennsylvania.
